First Night at Smith Station
First of all, thank you guys for praying - Tim was able to come with me to Smith Station which is huge in several ways. He was able to run the merchandise (please, people, quit saying "merch" unless you're making fun) table, and has a knack for making r'ships.

Tonight, there were several hundred students at the youth rally that kicked off. Not having Taylor here was somewhat of a worry, and still is as far as the rest of the week goes, but tonight the praise band from Smith Station Baptist led and worship was really good. I met their youth pastor, Gary, and their worship leader, Chris. Both seem like solid guys who love the Lord. It was clear that the students (some college and some high school) had been taught that it's not about them. I was relieved that this kind of mindset preceded the preaching.

For those of you who interceded, tonight was glorious. And even if the rest of the week is a total flop, which I am not anticipating at any length, the trip was well worth it. I had begged the Lord for favor with the students, and though the night had been full, the Word went forth in Spirit and in truth. When the invitation was given, the Lord had seen fit to move in many hearts. I ask you to please pray for Nikki over the course of the week - she's a high school student whom I met and prayed with. Pray that the Lord would help her with trust.

It was truly amazing to watch the students respond to the Gospel. I didn't count, b/c I don't care about the numbers, but there was an overwhelming response - and we have seen tonight many new additions to our wondeful family in Christ.

Tomorrow, I dress in a suit and continue to pray about removing my earrings. I took one out the other day, and it bled some and was sore. (I'm supposed to leave them in for 6 months). I don't want it to be an issue, but I don't think it will. Just pray that I would have wisdom in this, and that the Lord would overshadow irrelevant things such as these. Pray that no matter what, the Gospel would not be hindered and that the Lord would grant me favor with the elderly, and especially the pastor for His Name sake.

Tonight was simply amazing, guys. I wish you could have seen their faces after they had accepted Christ. I was and am so humbled to be a part of it. Pray, pray, pray...and also, lift up Rick Deerman, Taylor, Bigun and Brett and Thursdays at 7. We will have some kind of conference call this Tuesday as we gear up for our first major Gathering at JSU at the roundhouse! Please come if you can, and pray! We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Lord is calling us to pray for what is going to happen.

I love you guys. Thanks for reading and taking part in my life. Peace...
