Our Friend, Chris Williams
It's hard to believe that Try Dying has been up and going for over 6 months now. Praise the Lord! I can't imagine what my life would be like if we had not been obedient to step out on faith to do this full time. Selfishly, the best part has been the change that has taken place in our own personal relationships with Jesus. As important as that is, the next best thing has been the people that God has brought into our lives. We never realized what a blessing God has given us through the people He has surrounded us with. The greatest resources we have are our relationships with the family of God. One of the neatest things that has happened to us is meeting one of our newest friends, Chris Williams. On May 21st, Try Dying went to Antioch to raise support for the CD. It was only our second event as a ministry, and God put it on our hearts that night to not just raise money, but to meet with the Lord. Taylor, Landon and Dave led worship and I preached on repentance and revival. During the invitation, the Lord saw fit to work in the hearts of many people, as there was a strong sense of God's Presence that night. Afterwards, Chris Williams approached us and told us some good news - that God had worked in both he and his wife, Christy. We rejoiced in that, as that is our purpose. What came next was a complete surprise and blessing: Chris told Taylor that he was over a website design company called Widenet and that God had put it on his heart to do our website for us for free. Chris has used his gifts to bless us, and has worked as hard for us as if we were paying him. When I think about how God has used the website and as Try Dying continues to expand under the Lord's direction, Chris will reap eternal rewards. Had it not been for God using the website, we might have never gone to some of the places we have gone to minister. Because Chris was obedient, God has used it as a blessing in our lives as well as in others. We are humbled to know Chris, and we're thankful for his selflessness and support of Try Dying. Chris, we love you man, and we look forward to knowing you more and more. We totally believe in the work Chris has done for the website - and believe we have one of the best sites around! We give God all glory for it and urge you to definitely consider allowing Widenet to do your site. It's user friendly, easy to maintain, and Chris and his partner Derek do a phenomenal job. Not only that, but you have the benefit of working with a man who loves the Lord and a professional at what he does. We hope that if you are considering beginning a website or in the market for web design - with all our heart, we recommend Chris Williams at Widenet. To God be the glory, and thank you so much Chris. We love you, brother, and praise God for you. -TD IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER- You need to know that we write this blog not because it was expected, but because God burdened both mine and Taylor's heart to tell you about Chris and the huge part he plays in Try Dying through the site. |
